Homeroom Parents Needed for KM-PM, 1L, 3K

The following classes need homeroom parents:
Mrs. Moyer – PM Kindergarten (correction from original post on 9/25)
Ms. Lesniak – Grade 1
Mrs. Kelly – Grade 3

If your child is in any of these classes and you can help with any homeroom parties ( Halloween, Winter, Valentine’s Day, End of Year) or field day, please email Becky O’Hara: becky.ohara@verizon.net.

All homeroom parents are invited to an organizational meeting on Tuesday, October 6, at 9 a.m. in the cafeteria at Chatham Park. Please note the new date.

Make-A-Plate Project Begins in February (Grades 1-4)

Students in grades 1 through 4 will have the opportunity to create a custom plate in February during Chatham Park’s Make-A-Plate project. An original drawing is turned into a 10-inch melamine plate, made for everyday use, which is dishwasher – but not microwave – safe. Cost is $6. Most of the work will be done in school.

First, your child should do a rough draft of a plate design at home.
Artists, please note:

drafts can be made on any light-colored paper using crayons, markers or colored pencils
final drawings will be done in school using only water-soluble markers
final plate drawing may be no larger than 10″ in diameter
name and homeroom (number and letters) must be somewhere in the design, even if it is written in small letters near the edge.

Second, send rough drafts and payment into school before Friday, February 6.
Please enclose:

rough draft of plate design
completed form (available from the downloads section to the right)
$6 fee in cash or check (made payable to Chatham Park Home and School Association)

in an envelope marked “Plate Project” and return it to your child’s homeroom teacher before Friday, February 6.
