Admission is free; parking is available at the lot behind the high school (at Leedom and Golf Roads). The event ends between 5 and 5:30 p.m.

Chatham students on the track team will be bussed to the track but families are responsible for their transportation home. Athletes will be wearing Chatham jerseys; they may wish to wear a t-shirt of their own underneath. Any color shorts are acceptable. They also need personal water bottles and sunscreen. Red and white war paint (face paint) is also suggested for team morale.

Tentative Order of events:

• * 70-meter dash (multiple heats)
• * 600-meter run
• * 70-meter final
• * 4×100 relays – open, coed, boys, girls
• * Softball throw and standing broad jump competitions will be held on the infield at the same time as the races.

The 5th grade chorus will sing; select members of the recorder band will play; and Mr. Peters and students will share what they learn in music class.

This week, the club is collecting:

• canned dog food (any flavor)
• puppy chow
• regular dry PURINA cat chow
• unsweetened applesauce
• baby rice cereal
• gallon-size food storage bags
• rolled gauze or gauze pads

A huge collection box is outside the office and the club’s goal is to fill it a couple of times. So please help us to help all the volunteers who work at the Clinic to care for our wildlife.

The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education’s Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic is in operation to care for injured, sick, and orphaned wildlife native to southeastern Pennsylvania and release them back into their natural habitat.

All Chatham Park families are invited to attend tonight’s Science Fair at Chatham Park from 7-9 p.m. Exhibitors should arrive at 6:30 to set up their displays. Come and enjoy all the great science projects by our very own 4th and 5th Grade Scientists!

Congratulations to Connor Brown, grade 4, who created the winning design to be featured on this year’s shirts.

Honorable mention goes to Alex Parmet, grade 5, for an outstanding illustration that will appear on the program guide

We received 62 entries for this year’s design contest. With so many strong contenders, it was very difficult to select a winner! The design chosen was based on originality AND how well the design transfers onto an actual T-shirt. Thanks to all 4th and 5th grade students who participated in the 2010 T-shirt design contest!

Bring your appetite! Look for the table near the main entrance.

One design will be chosen for this year’s Science Fair T-Shirts. Students may submit more than one design, but each design must be on a separate piece of paper.
