Learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build a first adventure game. Students will practice the fundamentals of video game development and use techniques like flowcharting to plan their games.
Students will be introduced to the differences between game assets and game mechanics before beginning to build their own game. They will initially create a flowchart for their game and then move on to designing it with CSS and HTML. Once they have mastered these concepts, they will be introduced to JavaScript to build new scenes and take their game up a notch.
The eight-week series starts Monday, 12/2 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. and will run through 2/10, skipping the dates when there is no school during the holidays.

All students must provide their own laptop or iPad with a keyboard to use for the club.
Hi, we are interested but my 4th grader only has a Samsung Galaxy notepad with Bluetooth keyboard, would that be ok? I wasn’t sure if it has to be an Apple device when it said iPad. Thanks!
We provided the specs given to us, but I understand that (while a laptop would be best) as long as the tablet has a keyboard, it would be usable, so believe you will be fine. I think you could get a more firm answer from the company directly by contacting them at https://bsd.education/contact/.
