Chatham Park is currently looking for two parent volunteers to serve on the IDC for the 2021-2022 school year.
Intra-District Council (IDC) serves as a conduit between parents of Haverford Township elementary, middle, and high schools, and the School Board and Administration. The IDC mission is to promote discussion, understanding, and cooperation among these groups in order to support and advance the best interests of the students of the School District of Haverford Township.
A parent representative for each school in the district attends monthly IDC meetings. These meetings are regularly attended by the Superintendent, other school administrators and/or School Board members. Topics vary month to month based on the needs and issues brought forth by council representatives. Meetings in the past have included topics such as STEM curriculum, transportation, facilities, and Haverford Online curriculum to name a few.
Do you have a topic, issue, question, or concern that you would like to be brought to administration and possibly discussed at an upcoming IDC meeting? Are you interested in representing Chatham Park as an IDC representative?
Please contact Irene Best, current IDC representative for Chatham Park Elementary.
