LAST WEEK FOR GOLDEN APPLE

Our Golden Apple reading program ends on Friday, 4/21, so all forms must be turned into the school by that date.  We cannot accept any forms after Friday.  In early May, all students who reached their gold apple will get an invitation to the recognition events on May 18th and 19th.  The kids have done a great job reading this year – our apple tree is overflowing!

PSA ABOUT MAY PRIMARY ELECTIONS

The Primary elections in Pennsylvania are Tuesday, May 16th.  One important local election this year is for members of the Haverford Township School Board.  For the first time in many years, there are more candidates than there are open seats, so your vote for school board matters this year more than ever.  There are three incumbents and three new candidates running for four seats.  Our school board makes critical decisions that impact our children’s education, so please vote and make your voice heard.  A public forum to meet all of the candidates is being held on Sunday, April 30th from 2-3:30pm in the community room at the Haverford Township Library.

Staff Appreciation Week
Staff Appreciation is the week of May 1st-5th.   There will be a sign up genius coming out for that week as well as a flyer coming home in the next few days.    Stay tuned for more information.

The Maniac Magee

The Maniac Magee will be here before we know it!

Please put Saturday May 20th, 2017 on your calendar!

We have so much fun doing this we may forget that we are helping homeless families in our area, but it is a great cause!   More info will be coming home later in the month. Right now, we are particularly looking for one thing:

  • one or two people to help contacting past and new sponsors.  It is a brief, but important time commitment.

Chatham Chat: CALLING ALL BULLDOG RUNNERS

With recent warm temps, Spring is in the air.  With that comes Running Club to prepare our Bulldogs for Maniac Magee’s 19th annual 2-mile FUN Run/1 mile walk on Saturday May 20th!  Clubs will begin to meet the week of March 27th and will be held on the campus of school.

Registration is NOW OPEN.  Please click here:  Running Club Runner Form 2017 to see the handout for details and be sure to send in registration form by March 14th.

Please note that registration will be first come-first served and due to planning the deadline IS firm.  If group size exceeds capacity we will be in touch and place runners on a wait list.  If you see a group missing and you are available to coach there may be time to add a group.

Please contact Liz Radosti-Chapman (elizabeth.r.chapman@gmail.com) with any questions, for more information or to coach a vacant group.
